A guest book in memory of Jodie Devos in Neufchâteau

Following the death of Jodie Devos on Sunday June 16, the town of Neufchâteau decided to pay tribute to her. A guest book has been installed in the entrance hall of the Chester Town Hall. Friends, acquaintances or simple admirers are invited to write a little note, a souvenir, a testimony of sympathy in memory of the Chestrolaise, originally from Lahérie, lost to illness at the age of 35. “His departure is tragic and leaves the town in mourning for one of its greatest talents, says the mayor of Neufchâteau, François Huberty. We will leave this guestbook for a few days at the town hall. He will then be handed over to his family, of whom we are thinking very hard in these difficult times.” Proud of the artist with his talent and voice recognized throughout the world, the town of Neufchâteau plans to pay tribute to him in another way in the coming months. “Jodie was an Honorary Citizen of our citycontinues the mayor. It is therefore completely normal to pay tribute to him. Currently, it is still too early to say, but something will be set up in his honor.” We imagine, why not, a street bearing his name in Lahérie, a stele bearing his image or even a concert in his tribute. The funeral of Jodie Devos will take place at Saint-Aubain Cathedral in Namur this Saturday, June 22 at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be open to all, subject to the capacity of the venue.
