In the new episode of Kitchen nightmare broadcast on M6 this Tuesday, June 11, Philippe Etchebest came to the rescue of Christine, 57 years old. It was on rue Basse du Château in Chambéry in Savoie that the starred chef discovered Café Chabert, which Christine has been running alone, from the kitchen to the service, since 2021. Unfortunately, the restaurant manager is struggling to convince customers to switch to table in his café. Philippe Etchebest was left speechless by the deplorable state of this restaurant’s cuisine. He tried to make Christine realize the “worrying situation” in which she finds herself with one goal: to help him make a new start.

Philippe Etchebest will never have been so overwhelmed in Kitchen nightmare. “I’m hallucinating”he simply commented as he entered the kitchen of Christine’s restaurant. “I don’t feel well, I don’t feel well. What is this kitchen? The carnage…”, he judged Café Chabert. “It’s disgusting. How can you work like that? How is that possible?”he asked the manager, embarrassed. “It’s been a few months since I cleaned my kitchen thoroughly because I was too tired.”, she justified the lack of hygiene in her restaurant. Philippe Etchebest admitted to being “disgusted” by Café Charbert but still agreed to advise Christine.

After her visit, did Christine manage to start from scratch? The answer is yes ! Café Chabert in Chambéry is still open and is doing better thanks to the help of the juror of Top chef. New decoration, new equipment… Christine has implemented all of Philippe Etchebest’s advice in order to get through it. At the end of the show, the starred chef informs that “Restaurant attendance is starting to increase” and that Christine “is on the right path”.
