Filming was complicated for Jon Hamm

The one who plays the famous Don Draper had a very particular concern during filming. And for good reason, a makeup artist always had to make sure he was clean shaven, reports Screenrant. While his beard grew very quickly, he sometimes had to shave his face up to three times a day.

Don Draper could have been played by another actor

Our colleagues also point out that John Slattery almost played Don Draper. Finally, the production decided to entrust him with the role of Roger Sterling, a particularly inspired choice. The actors didn’t really smoke

You must have noticed that most of the stars of the series smoke like firefighters. It must be said that Mad Men depicts a time and environment where smoking was omnipresent. According to Vulturethe actors only used fake cigarettes during takes. While some scenes require many takes, it would not have been healthy to smoke so much.

But smoking these fake cigarettes didn’t seem very pleasant either, according to Jon Hamm. Quoted by our colleagues, he confided that the latter had a horrible taste of grass and soap.

The role of Don Drapper’s son was given to 8 actors

According to Business InsiderBobby Drapper was played by eight young actors. Kiernan Shipka, who played Sally Draper, even gave them each a nickname.

Only one character appears in each episode of the series

As one might suspect, it is the legendary Don Draper played by Jon Hamm.
