A breathless sprint. Saturday evening, M6 broadcast the semi-final of the All Stars season of “Pekin Express”, where three pairs were still in the running: Clément and Emeline, Jean-Claude and Axel as well as Christophe and Claire. The 6 candidates competed in 3 frantic races – departing from Udaipur, India – at the end of which the losers had to draw a famous “black envelope”, including only one elimination.
To everyone’s surprise, the amazing duo made up of Christophe and Claire was eliminated, a victim of chance. The father and his daughter, winners of the “The Road to the Three Continents” season in 2021, will not participate in the final next week.
“It came down to one foot”
For the unfortunate pair, everything came down to the second race of the event. Christophe and Claire were narrowly overtaken by Jean-Claude and Axel, photo finish as proof. “The two pairs sprinted in front of me. I had to watch the slow motion footage to be sure because it was so tight. It came down to one foot,” explained presenter Stéphane Rotenberg, reports Puremédias.
Christophe and Claire were therefore forced to choose a black envelope. No luck, it was the only elimination round… Who will win the grand final? Answer next week at the end of the duel which will confront Clément and Emeline against Jean-Claude and Axel.
