The grand final of The Voice kids takes place this Saturday October 5, 2024 in prime time on TF1. After several weeks of competition, four children won their places for this final evening of season 10: Louis in Claudio Capéo’s team, Coline little protégé of Slimane, Tim the talent of Lara Fabian as well as April the finalist of Patrick Flowers. Everyone had the ambition to succeed Durel, winner of The Voice kids season 9.
To do this, each of them distinguished themselves on a solo title, a duet with their coach but also with a star of French song. Thus, April opened the evening by performing My revolution with Jenifer. And Tim succeeded him on stage to sing Who has the right alongside Patrick Bruel. For once, the show was not broadcast live. This was in fact recorded a little earlier in the day, Slimane performing in concert in Brussels in the evening.
In addition to the revelation of the name of the big winner, this evening had another challenge: Kendji Girac was indeed making his big media comeback. The singer, also from The Voice, was part of the guest list for the final, alongside Yseult, Patrick Bruel, Jérémy Frérot and Jenifer. At 28, the Andalusian singer is in full promotion of her new opus Vivre!, released on October 4 last year. A highly anticipated return, the singer remaining very discreet since his serious gunshot wound last April.

Even before he entered the stage, Internet users expressed their views on his arrival. And the least we can say is that the first comments on social network X were rather negative. Despite his public apologies, some have apparently not forgiven the misdeeds of Kendji, who injured himself while trying to simulate suicide in front of his partner, with whom his relationship was not good. The singer was then under the influence of cocaine and alcohol. Errors that he recognized and on which he expresses himself in his new song If only.
It was around 10 p.m. that the artist arrived on stage, wearing a white shirt, to perform this song. After a tape recording recalling the highlights of his career and his greatest collaborations, he sat at the piano, surrounded by numerous candles. On X, disapproving comments then multiplied, arguing that the singer’s place was not in The Voice kids and that it was inappropriate for the production to praise him.
But at the same time, many Internet users expressed their joy at seeing the singer again. Its title If only and its interpretation full of sensitivity moved a lot.
