It was the voice charged with emotion that Lio reacted to the death of actor Michel Blanc on RTL. The “Banana Split” singer was in a relationship with him at the end of the 1980s, they also shared the poster for the film “Chambre à part” in 1989.

Of Michel Blanc, Lio only keeps good things: “He was part of an enchanted parenthesis in my life, he is really in my best memories,” she explains. And even if they saw each other little since their separation, she notes: “Every time we spoke it was good, every time we saw each other it was nice, I am very sad (… ) he was a good guy, really.

She salutes an “attentive”, “passionate”, “interesting” companion, a relationship always tinged with kindness, where “it was about cinema, politics, good bottles and good things to eat”.

“The public is intelligent”

In addition to her excellent memories of the man who now holds “a preponderant place in his best things”, Lio does not say she is surprised by the immense popularity of Michel Blanc and the countless reactions to his sudden disappearance.

“I was experiencing its popularity,” adds Lio. The public is intelligent, I knew they would take a place. (…) His career greatly demonstrates the immense actor that he was. So it’s fair, all that,” she concludes.
