At 58 years old, Laurence Ferrari is still far from being ready to leave the air. It must be said that the profession of journalist has always been his true passion. After having been presenter of 8 p.m. on TF1 from 2008 to 2012, she joined the Canal+ group where she presented the programs Sunday + et The Big 8 before inheriting the show Punchlineon D8 (later C8).
Since January 2018, she still plays this latter program but on CNews, a channel where she also hosts The big meeting and where she rubs shoulders daily with the other stars of the channel Pascal Praud and Sonia Mabrouk among others. Laurence Ferrari is also entrusted with political debates during electoral periods, for example. Thus, it is difficult for her to pick up or slow down, as she admits in an interview for Leisure TV.
Laurence Ferrari “permanently” focused on information
-“We all arrive with the same package, namely the raw information, what happened during the day. Afterwards, what interests us? What interests our audience? Everyone models their show. This is why we have total freedom. It’s a complete immersion. We spend 13 or 14 hours a day thinking about the show. In reality, we are constantly in the news field“, she confided.
Heck of a few days for Laurence Ferrari who has to juggle an equally busy family life. Because the journalist is mother of three children : his elders Baptiste (born in 1993) and Laëtitia (born in 1995), from her past marriage to Thomas Hugues, and the youngest Eliottborn in 2008 from her union with the violinist Renaud Capuçon when she was 44 years old. But if his job takes up a lot of his time, Laurence Ferrari ensures that his loved ones are not harmed. “We don’t sacrifice anything in our personal life“, she declared to our colleagues.
