“A lot of emotions, seeing familiar people, whether from the club or even from the city, the people who take care of the room… It’s really nice. We find some sensations. A little more than five months after the final of the 2024 Paris Olympics lost to the United States, the NBA Paris Games allow him to reconnect with the French public.
-“It’s special, you don’t expect that in a career. It’s a bit my way of pleasing people who will never have the opportunity to go to the United States. It’s very important to me. We’ve only been here for a few hours, but it’s already incredible,” Wembanyama said this Monday.
“The goal remains performance. For me, it’s also to recharge my batteries a little, see people I can’t see during the year, members of my family, friends… It will be very beneficial for us all”, concluded the tricolor interior.
This week, Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs have two games to play at Accor Arena against the Indiana Pacers, Thursday (8 p.m.) and Saturday (6 p.m.). In addition to these two matches, the Frenchman is also expected at the Louis Vuitton fashion show (Tuesday evening), of which he is a partner, and at the Champions League match between PSG and Manchester City (Wednesday at 9 p.m.).
