If you walk around downtown Le Havre, you have surely seen white trucks filled with film equipment. And for good reason: a film is being shot right now in the Océane city.
According to our sources, this is the next film by Anthony Dechaux (to whom we owe the feature film Midwife) with the actors Ana Girardot et Olivier Gourmet. His name? The price war, a thriller against a backdrop of ecology and money.
Filming until Thursday
This Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the film crew is filming in the Alta Tower. Moreover, at this location, municipal decrees prevent any parking near the tower. According to the technicians interviewed on site, the director and the actors are filming in the Océane city until Thursday January 9 “and will film for three more weeks in Normandy before returning to Paris”.
What is the film about?
Audrey (played by Ana Girardot) vigorously defends organic and local products. She works as head of the dairy products department of a large brand. Until the day she joined the brand’s large purchasing center, accompanied by an expert in annual negotiations. She will thus be confronted with her deepest values.
Monday evening, it was the Bistrot Parisien restaurant, located on Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, which was the scene of some filming scenes. The Novotel, near the station, will also serve as the setting for this feature film.
Le Havre, land of cinema
This is not the first time that a film has been shot in Le Havre. At the end of 2024, it was the director Julia Ducournau who placed her cameras in several districts of the city for the film Alpha with Tahar Rahim.
At the same time, actor Jonathan Cohen and director Alice Vial shot a few scenes for the feature film The ideal soul.
