“Degenerate” art: the trial of modern art under Nazismat the Picasso museum
In 1937, the Nazi regime organized a propaganda exhibition in Munich entitled “Degenerate Art” presenting 700 works by around a hundred artists such as Otto Dix, Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky in a staging intended to provoke disgust in the visitor. .
