COMMEMORATIONS – It was ten years ago, France was hit hard by terrorism one morning in January, suffering one of the biggest traumas of recent decades. This Tuesday, January 7, it is time for remembrance with a day of tributes to the victims who fell that day, during the attack on Charlie Hebdobut also on January 9, during the attack on the Hyper Cacher.

• Ceremony for the victims of Charlie Hebdo
Thus, at 11:30 a.m., a first ceremony will take place at 10 rue Nicolas-Appert, address of the former premises of Charlie Hebdo, in the 11th arrondissement, for a tribute to the victims of the attack. Another ceremony will then be held at 12 p.m. at 62 boulevard Richard-Lenoir, where police officer Ahmed Merabet was killed by one of the Kouachi brothers after they left the newspaper’s premises.

Finally, the third moment of contemplation will take place further in eastern Paris, around 1:10 p.m. at 23 avenue de la Porte de Vincennes in the 20th arrondissement, in front of the Hyper Cacher store.
That day, during the hostage-taking, Amedy Coulibaly, accomplice of the Kouachi brothers, killed four people who were shopping before the start of Shabbat: Yohan Cohen, student and store employee, Philippe Braham, sales executive, François-Michel Saada, retired executive, and Yoav Hattab, student. Live from the BNF, Caroline Roux will receive journalists and cartoonists from Charlie, including Riss.
