The first GeForce RTX 50 to architecture Blackwell are now officially announced, following Jensen Huang’s speech at the opening of CES 2025 which began at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7 in the morning. As expected, NVIDIA announced 4 graphics cards to start: the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti et RTX 5070. You will have to wait a little longer to discover the entry-level RTX 5060 (Ti) for gamers.
We start with the design of the GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Editionthe secret of which was for once damn well kept during the months preceding the launch. Despite the expected monster and which confirms, as you will be able to see, its rather crazy characteristics, NVIDIA has managed to maintain a reference design that is only two slots thick, hats off! As usual, NVIDIA prefers to show its back card, but here is also a front view to see its two fans:
Now let’s move on to the features of the entire range

The most recent rumors were generally correct, with the officialization which allows us to get our hands on the GPU frequencies or even to have the bit rate and therefore the bandwidth also of the RTX 50 (Ti).
Now is the time for the prizes, the moment that many of you have undoubtedly been waiting for. They are ultimately more competitive than what the rumors suggested and even very interesting for the most “accessible” models, the RTX 5090 still paying for its excellence:
In detail and as is customary in the world of hardware, the recommended prices in dollars indicated by NVIDIA are:
• GeForce RTX 5090 : 1999 $
• GeForce RTX 5080 : 999 $
• GeForce RTX 5070Ti: $749
• GeForce RTX 5070 : 549 $
The GeForce RTX 5090 therefore sets a new price record, as one could imagine. Behind we go directly to $1000 less for the RTX 5080, which is officially the same price as the RTX 4080 SUPER and therefore $200 less than the original RTX 4080 at its launch! The RTX 5070 Ti will be even cheaper than the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, both at $799. Finally, even the RTX 5070 is good news since it will be $549. The RTX 4070 then RTX 4070 SUPER were launched at $599, the RTX 4070 then dropping to a slightly lower price of $549 with the launch of its improved version. NVIDIA has not decided to pass on any inflation between its generations, we can only rejoice about that!
We end with availability because yes, as often, this January 6, 2025 is only that of the officialization. NVIDIA says the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will be available on Thursday January 30while we will have to wait until February for the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070, on a date not yet communicated precisely.
