Cheaper and more precise than most artillery systems, drones have quickly become one of Ukraine’s main tools for repelling Russian assaults amid a chronic shortage of artillery ammunition.

Following the attack carried out on January 6, two Russian Pantsir-S1 anti-missile systems and an OSA anti-aircraft vehicle reportedly damaged or destroyed in the Russian-occupied part of Kherson Oblast in southern Ukraine.

The attack occurred a week after Ukrainian Magura V5 naval drones hit three Russian Mi-8 helicoptersdowning two of them over the Black Sea in another strike that was also already the first of its kind.
