Farmers are back on the roads of the Rhône this Monday, January 6. Several processions set off early in the morning and converged on Lyon. Follow disruptions live.
Three sectors should be avoided this Monday, January 6 due to the mobilization of Rhône farmers: the A450/M7/A7 interchange, the D342 departmental road and the A450 motorway. The call for mobilization was made by the Agri Chabanière association and the Coordination Rurale 69 union. The majority union, the FDSEA, did not join the mobilization but is planning action during the day, with the Young Farmers of the Rhône .
Farmers always deplore too many and restrictive laws, as well as administrative overload. They also oppose the future agreement signed between the EU and Mercosur, as last November.

The FDSEA and Young Farmers mobilized at noon
The two unions, already gathered in mid-November, will gather in front of the national food, environmental and occupational health safety agency (ANSES) in Lyon, this Monday at 12 p.m. “Farmers in the Rhône are particularly worried following the announcements of withdrawals of several active substances which weaken the plant sectors and more particularly fruit production. The latter sees its survival threatened by these decisions“, they worry in a press release.

A tractor convoy departure was organized in Saint-Didier-Sous-Riverie, around 5 a.m., by the Rural Coordination. The objective of the mobilized farmers is to get closer to Lyon to block the A7 motorway, towards Lyon. For now, the demonstrators have settled on the A450, in Oullins-Pierre-Bénité.
