Los Angeles Rams (10-7) – Seattle Seahawks (10-7) : 25-30

Have the same record as your opponent, but don’t make the playoffs while your opponent does.

This is unfortunately the tragic fate of the Seahawks of Geno Smith, who nevertheless released one of his best games of the season. Mike McDonald’s men could therefore have regrets in view of this match compared to their season.

The Rams rested all starters on offense (Stafford, Cupp, Nacua). Despite this, Jimmy Garoppolo and the Rams did not have a bad game. They didn’t even come close to the heist, but Garoppolo’s pass to Jordan Whittington was too short.

Geno Smith in great shape

The game begins with Garoppolo’s first successful throw in over a year against DeMarcus Robinson (3 REC, 72 yards). Afterwards, nothing, the Rams punted. The defenses take over, until the Seahawks find the opening. Receiver Jake Bobo recovers from an offensive penalty to score a touchdown on a reception.

The start of the Geno Smith festival (20/27, 223 yards, 4 TDs), since after Jake Bobo, he finds DK Metcalf (3 REC, 53 yards, TD) to widen the gap. Jimmy Garoppolo (27/41, 334 yards, TDs, INT) is inaccurate, but is not helped either. But then we find the Jimmy Garoppolo we usually know. The good with a touchdown for Tyler Higbee (5 REC, 46 yards, TD), and the bad with an interception from the tireless Julian Love.

Eye-catching Rams, but more clutch Seahawks

The Seahawks’ leading receivers have been surprisingly quiet against one of the worst air defenses in the NFL this season. Notably Tyler Lockett, who is probably playing his last game in Seahawks colors. Despite everything, this does not prevent Geno Smith from finding his tight end AJ Barner (5 REC, 34 yards, TD) who finds his way to the touchdown.

Meanwhile, the Rams responded with a Tyler Johnson touchdown, and could have stolen the ball from Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet. Unfortunately, a defensive foul prevents this action from being validated. Nonetheless, the Rams took the lead for the first time in the game. But, a few minutes later, another tight end will find his way to the end zone with Noah Fant (5 REC, 63 yards, TD). The former Broncos scored his first touchdown of the season on a spectacular reception despite a tackle, and it was decisive.

The Rams would have won this meeting with a touchdown on the last play, but Jimmy Garoppolo failed to hang on.
