Xbox Rewards is getting a makeover! Earn even more points with Game Pass quests and discover new ways to use them!
The new year brings big changes to Xbox, with an update to the Microsoft Rewards program. Don’t panic, it’s good news: more rewards and more ways to get them.
But before going into detail, it is important to note that, to promote healthy and age-appropriate use, points earned while playing will only be accessible to players aged 18 and over. So, if you are under 18, the Rewards Hub on your console and the Xbox app on PC and mobile will no longer be available to you.
On the other hand, if you have already accumulated points and you are under 18, no problem! You can always collect them on the Microsoft Rewards site. You can also continue to earn points through parent-approved purchases, qualifying searches on Bing, or by completing Microsoft Rewards daily challenges. Basically, non-game activities.
Now that that’s clear, let’s move on to rewards for players 18 and over.
New Game Pass quests
Since January 7, Game Pass quests, which were previously reserved for Ultimate members, are now accessible to PC Game Pass subscribers. Earning points remains the same: complete quests via the Rewards Hub on your profile and play games from the GP catalog.
The rewards system is divided into 4 parts:
- Daily game – Play any game in the Game Pass catalog for at least 15 minutes to earn 10 points per day.
- Weekly series – Play at least five days a week to complete a streak. The more you play, the more you win. A 2 week streak earns 2x the base points, 3 weeks earns 3x, and beyond 4 weeks it’s 4x the base points.
- Monthly pack of 4 – Play four different games (at least 15 minutes each) each month.
- Monthly pack of 8 – Play eight different games (at least 15 minutes each) each month. The monthly 4 pack counts too.
Eligible games from the Game Pass catalog are any that do not require a third-party launcher like Battle.net.
Xbox Rewards program update
The Rewards program update isn’t limited to Game Pass quests. All Rewards members can earn 150 points with the new PC Weekly Bonus. To win them, you must play at least 5 days a week for at least 15 minutes. Please note, this feature is also reserved for players aged 18 and over.
Points earned with the Rewards program can be used to purchase Xbox gift cards, new games, in-game content, and even to make donations to charity.
