In a surprising prelude to the highly anticipated clash between Manchester United and Liverpool, Alejandro Garnacho has decided to deactivate his account on X, formerly known as Twitter. Just hours before the monumental match, the @agarnacho7 profile disappeared, leaving fans perplexed by an error message when attempting to search for the profile. This abrupt change comes after Garnacho previously interacted with his supporters on the platform.

Despite his departure from X, the young winger continues to maintain a dynamic presence on Instagram. His profile now carries a bold statement in his bio, reading “NO TWITTER”, accompanied by a conspicuous red cross emoji, suggesting a potential refocus on his football career.

Garnacho, alongside teammate Marcus Rashford, was conspicuously absent from the team during the last Manchester derby, a decision taken by head coach Ruben Amorim. Reports suggest the exclusion was influenced by Garnacho’s alleged disregard during a tactical briefing during a Europa League match against Viktoria Plzen, where he allegedly turned his back on Amorim.

However, people close to Garnacho have vigorously rejected claims of any disagreement, calling the incident a simple misunderstanding. Some fans may interpret his recent removal from social media as a clear statement of intent, signifying his commitment to focus solely on his football.

To add fuel to the fire, former footballer Graeme Souness tackled Garnacho, calling him someone who “acts like a bad boy” and questioning his future prospects at Old Trafford. In a scathing column for the Daily Mail, Souness lamented: “I hear Alejandro Garnacho is not happy with the coach. Can anyone remind me who he is? Last time I I checked, he was only 20 years old, and he’s only one step above a ten rung ladder Who are you On the field, he behaves like a bad boy, and… less Unless he changes, he has no chance of realizing his obvious potential.”
