Medical tests planned for this Tuesday: Standard is ahead of Kortrijk, Antwerp and to secure its second recruit of the winter – The latest transfers

Standard is already very close to securing a second recruit in this winter transfer window. Andreas Hountondji has arrived in Belgium and will be loaned to the banks of the Meuse, without an option to buy.

As we revealed to you a few days ago already (read here), Standard’s winter transfer window is likely to be relatively lively, both in terms of departures and arrivals.

If the Rouches have already formalized their first incoming transfer in the person of Ibrahim Karamoko, the first departure, that of Hakim Sahabo on loan to Beerschot, without purchase option, should be done during the day.

A second reinforcement is already arriving at Standard

Standard, which wanted to quickly offer reinforcement to Ivan Leko in order to integrate new players into the core as quickly as possible, will complete its second arrival in the coming hours.

Indeed, according to the words of Sacha Tavolieri that we are able to confirm, Beninese striker Andréas Hountondji joined the Cité Ardente this Monday evening and will undergo his medical examinations this Tuesday before signing his contract immediately.

While he could also join Kortrijk, Antwerp and RC , the 22-year-old striker refused the three offers, although more interesting in terms of salary, to land at Sclessin. Hountondji, during the first meeting held remotely with management, had already watched several Matricule 16 matches and directly discussed his future contribution to the team.

Fairly early on Monday, Standard reached an agreement with Burnley on a loan basis with no option to buy. Convinced of the playing time that would be his on the banks of the Meuse, Hountondji would have pushed to sign at Sclessin rather than elsewhere.
