“Bravo”, he returns to the stage after feeling unwell and wins a place in the semi-final

There were only 5 students left to compete during the Star Academy 2024 bonus broadcast, this Saturday, January 4, 2025, with a place in the semi-final at the key of this particularly trying evening. So much so that this candidate was the subject of discomfort behind the scenes. This did not prevent him from returning to the stage to deliver a remarkable performance and earn his ticket, arousing the admiration of Nikos Aliagas in the process.

The noose is tightening for the students of Star Academy 2024 still competing in the adventure. During the prime broadcast on TF1, this Saturday January 4, the pressure was palpable within the emblematic Studio 217. And for good reason, at the end of the evening, only 4 candidates could return to the castle of Dammarie-les -Lys at the gates of the semi-final.

The competition promised to be tough between Charles, Franck, Ebony, Marine and Ulysse who have nothing to be ashamed of the progress they have made during this season of the Star Academy. It must be said that the level delivered is worthy of a final: evidenced by the impressive sung-dance scene of Marine on the title I am what I am or the emotion conveyed by Ebony on the hymn to loveby Edith Piaf. Suffice to say that the public, like the teachers, took great pleasure in listening to and watching the academicians put on the show during this Star Academy bonus.

Star Academy: “A little moment of hesitation”

If all the candidates who graced the stage of studio 217 delighted the audience and teachers, there was one who particularly stood out during this evening. And for good reason, after having been the victim of discomfort backstage, he returned to the stage as if nothing had happened with a professionalism worthy of the greatest artists.

A proof of professionalism which did not let itself be dismantled despite the intensity of the bonus this Saturday. “Tonight, the prime was particularly trying for you”, underlined Nikos Aliagas. And to evoke Charles’ loss of consciousness behind the scenes of the show: “There was a little moment of hesitation behind the scenes, but you came back as if nothing had happened.”

Star Academy: “Her voice has impressive maturity”

Enough to push the youngest of the promotion to talk about the mishap which preceded his performance. “Yes, the truth, I felt unwell a few minutes ago, but everything is fine”, he assured the TF1 cameras. An attitude and perseverance which did not fail to impress Nikos Aliagas and Karima Charni. “To go back on stage after that, it’s incredible. Well done, Charles,” greeted the host of the after-party.

Whether solo or during the collective performance of Je ne suis que une chanson by Ginette Reno, CHarles knew how to stand out in the eyes of the teachers. “He’s amazing, his voice has an impressive maturity,” greeted Hugues Hamelynck. Enough to allow the 18-year-old young man to secure a place in the semi-finals unlike his comrade Ulysse.
