Will we see Dani Olmo don the FC Barcelona jersey again? The situation has taken a turn for the worse, and this could well mark the end of this saga. Due to FC Barcelona’s financial concerns, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor will not be able to obtain licenses to play with the Catalan club in the league, as the club cannot register them for the second half of the season.
Barça had appealed to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to decide on this issue after La Liga removed the two players from the club’s squad. However, the RFEF decided to align with La Liga’s position, citing strict application of the regulations.
The Catalan club is expected to make a last desperate attempt by requesting the intervention of the Administrative Court of Sport. Their goal is to obtain interim measures allowing them to register the players while buying time to resolve their financial problems.

According to La Liga, FC Barcelona does not meet the financial criteria for the two players acquired this summer to continue participating in league matches. This position is also supported by the federation. The Barcelonans, who tried everything to get out of this delicate situation, failed to find a solution to circumvent the financial controls imposed by La Liga.
Olmo was able to play in the league during the first half of the season thanks to the prolonged absence of Danish defender Andreas Christensen, creating a void in the squad. However, with the return of Christensen, he resumes his position, and thus, Barcelona once again finds itself facing the financial ceiling established by La Liga.
