Football and eight-a-side bowling: Timothée Cros, an extraordinary itinerary of an ideal life

After the enriching experience (in every sense of the word) of an admirable career on the game show “Les 12 coups de midi” highlighting an extraordinary general culture, Timothée Cros chose a setting and a discreet and altruistic, anchored in his family farm. He is discreetly available for various sporting and cultural associations whose objectives and statutes harmonize with his new life principles.

Since his childhood, Timothée Cros has set himself the ambition of living his life operating the family cattle farm located in the town of Cantoin, between Aubrac and Viadène. His propensity to learn and memorize allowed him to obtain an agricultural engineering diploma which some undoubtedly consider superfluous in relation to modest land projects.

By participating in the show “Les 12 coups de midi” several years ago, this game show enthusiast won, through his endearing personality, his modesty and his erudition, the respect of many admirers and more particularly of his neighbors and friends. Crowned Master of Midday, he made a wise decision to allocate the jackpot won for the sole purpose of devoting himself to the management of the farm with his parents to thus support his father who had become mayor of the town. He also prioritized for resolution of “ take a step back from media exposure ” and to indulge in other passions, sporting and cultural, by joining and getting involved more or less long-term and more or less intensely in local associations. It is on the pretext of these memberships that an exemption was able to be made. to be tolerated by a Timothée Cros eager for a new discreet life in this rural environment so warm and much more in keeping with his temperament mixing discretion, dedication and visceral attachment to his original rural territory.

Theater, , festive activities and especially eight-pin bowling…

The town of Cantoin has always proven to be particularly active, dynamic and welcoming, helped by particularly determined and creative councilors and association leaders. Timothée Cros is one of the residents of all generations who mobilize annually, within the festival committee, to make the festive summer weekend a great popular gathering.

The town of Cantoin is still represented on the chessboard of Aveyron football clubs. With a population of around 300 souls, this “survival” is due to the attachment of young residents but also to nostalgic exiles who feel an irrepressible need to return frequently. Timothée Cros is not the most diligent player; but he makes it his duty to occupy, indifferently and with good grace, the vacant position, in the cages or on the spot.

Furthermore, the famous Martagons theater troupe took great pride in enlisting him as an actor. The artist took a break to prioritize the arrangement of his house and his job as a farmer, but his return to the stage remains awaited and unanimously hoped for by the troupe and the public.

President and Master Player

After a long stint of dedication and unification as president of the Sainte-Geneviève eight-a-side bowling club, the president of the flagship departmental club, Jean-François Bordez, found a worthy successor in Timothée Cros. He who started bowling in 2021 by reaching an average of 39.67. At the end of the 2024 season, this average increased to 45.22 opens access to the Elite Promotion category. He is now in action to preside over this club with a staff of 92 players, including 10 young members aged 8 to 12 at the bowling school, 14 young people aged 13 to 18, 12 men’s quadrettes (including 3 in excellence) and 4 female doubles!

The management responsibility is therefore considerable but no one doubts its ability to guarantee the sustainability of such a great sporting success. The club has a large number of French champions, individually and by teams in all categories, and now has an emblematic “Master Player” to hope to complete such an enviable track record.
