The Biolaz lodge, a landmark for hikers, was completely devastated by the flames. It was also the home of Annick and Thierry Porret, a very well-known family in the Pays Bellegardien.
According to our colleagues, it appears that the fire was started by a chimney fire. 24 firefighters were involved in the intervention, with three water hoses.
