“The club and the coach met this morning at the Michel Moretti stadium. The decision to terminate the contract was taken by mutual agreement. AC Ajaccio underlines the determination of Mathieu Chabert throughout his career at within the club” indicates this Saturday morning in a press release.
In the same approach, the ACA emphasizes that “the interim, at the head of the first team, will be ensured by Thierry Debes” without dwelling further on the “departure” of Mathieu Chabert.
Concerning Thierry Debes, the ACA recalls that “Arriving at the club in 2007, he has always upheld the values of the ACA. First on the field as a goalkeeper for five seasons (156 matches) then within the technical staff in which he has worked since 2013. Thierry Debes had taken over an interim role in 2014. He had managed to set in motion a positive dynamic with the team winning three times.”
For the ACA it is obvious that the upcoming matches – including the derby on Friday evening at Furiani against Sporting – will be crucial for the future of the club, this is the reason that the club is calling for “all of the White and Red components to unite behind the staff and players in the maintenance mission.”
