Fourteen magistrates were transferred yesterday to several magistrates across the country. The concerned magistrates were advised to finalize all the cases heard by them and that they should not grant adjournment for the trials which had commenced before them.

Thus, the Senior District MagistrateChitralata Soobagrah, leaves the Bail and Remand Court to sit in the first division court of Port-Louis. THE Senior District MagistrateNader Ali Caunhye, is transferred from the Moka court to emigrate to the second division court of Port-Louis. The Senior District Magistrate, Shavina Jugnauth, takes charge of the Curepipe court. She previously sat on the second division court of Port-Louis. As for the Senior District MagistrateShaheen Inshiraah Dawreeawoo, she is assigned to the third division court of Port-Louis. She was previously stationed at the Mapou court.

The Senior District MagistratePamela Veerabadran-Mudaliar, leaves the Souillac court to sit in the Rose-Hill court while the Senior District MagistrateRishan Chineah, takes charge of the Souillac court. There Senior District MagistrateKaruna Dwarka Davay, is now in charge of the Bail and Remand Court. Likewise, the Senior District MagistrateRajeenee Segobin, passes from the third division court of Port-Louis to land at the court of Moka.

The other magistrates who were transferred are: Mohammad Illfaaz Farook Nathire, Zeenat Cassamally, Mary Chrisinta Chavrimootoo, Waseemah Beebee Galamali, Jessie Asiriah and Mary Donna Chung Kow Cheong.
