Real Madrid: 19 minutes of silence at Mestalla to denounce the management of the club

Libertad VCF modifies its strategy of protest against the management of Peter Lim by limiting its boycott to 19 minutes during Valencia's match against Real Madrid.

Mestalla will not be behind closed doors! While Valencia fans had planned to leave their stadium empty for the duration of the match to protest Peter Lim's management at Che's club, supporters group Libertad VCF announced a significant change. Indeed, according to Reliefthe platform decided to limit its boycott to only 19 minutes of absence in the stands, instead of completely emptying the Mestalla during the entire match against Real Madrid, scheduled for this Friday evening.

A call to action to save the future of Valencia CF

This change in strategy comes after discussions with supporters, who suggested more measured action. The Libertad VCF group hopes to attract attention while avoiding the sale of season tickets and encouraging fans to return in the second half to support the team.

Libertad VCF clarified that the protest goes well beyond immediate sporting issues, emphasizing that the situation of Valencia CF, under the leadership of Peter Lim, is much more serious than the fight against relegation. The group insists that the club is at much greater risk and has been for several years now.

Disastrous management, Libertad VCF attacks management and local authorities

Libertad VCF supporters also took the opportunity to reiterate their accusations against the current leaders, in particular Javier Solís and Inmaculada Ibáñez, whom they accuse of not defending the true interests of the club. They expressed their rejection of the false division within Valencianism, emphasizing that the majority of supporters want to see Peter Lim and his associates go.

Libertad VCF also denounced the attitude of local political authorities, whom they consider complicit in the management of Peter Lim, pointing out their inaction in the face of supporters' expectations and their indirect support for the private interests of the club owner. They also highlighted the delays in the construction of the new Mestalla, a major problem which contributed to the city's removal from bids for the 2030 World Cup.

A worrying situation for a legendary Spanish football club, which is going through a difficult season both on a sporting and institutional level. Libertad VCF hopes that this symbolic action will have a strong impact, while calling on supporters to mobilize even more for the future of the club.
