The Técou Elders club celebrated its fiftieth anniversary, the association having been created in 1974. In the welcome and commemorative speech, its president Alain Pezet, told the story of the creation of the club with its first name ” Friendship Club of the 3rd age of Técou “and its evolution over time by paying tribute to the seven presidents who succeeded one another: Galinier Gestelin, Miquel Bertin, Lafon René, Sabatier Aimé, Vedel Gaston, Galinier Josette, Dubietz Evelyne. This was an opportunity to celebrate the wedding anniversaries of the club members: Maryse and Roland Rieunier and Jeannine and André Souliè for their diamond wedding anniversary (60 years) and Andrée and Jean-Paul Fournier for their golden wedding anniversary (50 years ).
The mayor of Técou, Jean-François Baulès and the departmental councilor Monique Corbière-Fauvel offered flowers to the bride and groom, followed by members of the club who in turn offered gifts. The Seniors’ Day continued with an entertainment show from the ”2 Enchanteurs” accompanied by Maison Guillaume for the meal. Next events of the Seniors’ club at the Técou multicultural hall: the general assembly on Thursday January 9 at 2 p.m. and the Loto on Sunday January 19 at 2 p.m.
