Aware that the new year will be “very likely dense and demanding”, he assures not to ignore “the difficulties that our country is going through” while being convinced that “fruitful exchanges and actions that bear a spirit of solidarity will be expressed, sharing and listening.
Happy to return to Gers, a department he knows well having served there as head of the DRIRE, Alain Castanier assures that he can rely “on all the State services”, whose “day-to-day action” he salutes , action sometimes little known, always necessary, in the service of citizens and communities. The prefect is thinking particularly of the police and emergency services, “whose investment and professionalism remain flawless every day”. He also does not forget “to involve all those who make up the Gers, elected officials, actors in the agricultural, economic, social, cultural sectors, community volunteers”, as many people “who participate through their commitment to dynamism but also to innovative and structuring projects of our department”.
