We would like to make you dream, to tell you that the sun is coming back from the south to sweep away the gray and that we will soon be able to take off our hats. But alas, we do not have this power… The year 2025 may well begin as 2024 ended its course.
The dominant color will therefore remain gray. After some frosts observed this Wednesday morning, especially in the south-east of the department, the Loiret should even face, as a bonus, rain, this Thursday, January 2. The cold front which will arrive overnight from the north will bring moderate, even temporarily heavy, rain, announces the Météo Center association.
Sometimes strong gusts
“Between mid-day and mid-afternoon, we still cannot exclude a few flakes mixed with rain (locally) in the extreme north-east of the Center (Gâtinais), only at the end of disturbance (colder air). No major consequences expected,” explain the experts.
The rain will evacuate from the south between the end of the afternoon and the beginning of the evening and the wind will quickly decrease in intensity. Some clearing will be possible on Thursday evening in Gâtinais and Orléanais.
A strong southwesterly wind will also blow. Strong gusts, between 50 and 70 km per hour are expected at the end of the morning, especially in the south and east of the Loiret.
Some rays expected Friday
The only consolation: the sun should come out a little again for Friday 3 but with temperatures between 0 and 2°C in the morning.
The clearings will be short-lived as the weekend looks set to be cloudy and even rainy on Sunday. But the mercury will rise to around 10 to 12°C.
Same wet program for the start of the school year, Monday January 6. Fortunately we have the pancake to comfort us!
