Meghan Markle returns to Instagram after five years of absence. Under the sober pseudonym @meghan, she published a first video which would be captured by Prince Harry.
Meghan Markle surprised her subscribers by making her big return to Instagram on January 1, 2025.
Under the pseudonym @meghan, the former Suits actress reconnects with the social network she left in January 2018, after her engagement to Prince Harry.
At the time, her official accounts, including the infamous @sussexroyal, were shut down as part of their transition into royal roles.
A first publication
For this comeback, Meghan chose simplicity. His first release was a Reel shot on a beach near their home in Montecito, California.
Filmed by Harry, according to British media, the video shows Meghan, dressed in white jeans and a flowing shirt, running barefoot on the sand.
In a symbolic moment, she stops to write “2025” in the sand, before walking away smiling, leaving the message to the waves.
The post marks a shift from the official royal image she and Harry once projected. Here, Meghan favors a personal approach.
A new step for Meghan
This return to social networks coincides with the imminent launch of American Riviera Orchard, a lifestyle brand that Meghan has been preparing for several months.
With this return to Instagram, Meghan Markle seems to want to reconnect with her audience in a more authentic way. Her @meghan account promises to become a window into her life far from the royal spotlight.
