A little appetizer before the arrival of the new album scheduled for 2025.
No new project from Alonzo since 2022, but the rapper will not have remained inactive very long time. We've seen him on a bunch of featurings, but also on collective projects like “13'Organisé 2” recently, on which he released several masterclasses. While his brother Soprano seems to be starting a new rap turn in his career, and even announced a possible future album by Psy4 de la Rimethe Marseille rapper has also decided to raise his voice at the end of 2024 with a surprise EP.
An EP not yet fully released
The end of the years sometimes holds nice surprises in the rap game, with quite a few artists who have been rather discreet in recent months and who want to remind the public that they are still there, in good shape. Alonzo understood this well, and he waited until December 31 for us reveal a little end-of-year surprise EP, called “Le Grand Massacre de la Saint-Sylvestre”in reference to a historical event, but also to previous pieces that the rapper released regularly at the end of each year.
An EP which includes 3 tracksand at the time of writing these lines, only two pieces have already been revealed. The last title will be revealed at 6 p.m.. In the meantime, we already have an overview of Alzonzo's level in terms of kicking at the end of 2024 and as always with him, everything is square. The first track, “J’Pull Up”, is in a very street “banger” atmosphere. that the rapper masters to perfection (remember “Bagarre” in 2017), with beautiful refs and a flow very well aligned with the instrumental, nothing to complain about! Le second, “Jude B” (in reference to the current playmaker of Réal), is in a slightly more chilled tempo and would resemble a little more what we could find on his classic song “Finis-les”, again very successful.
The fact that Alonzo seems determined to show us that he could still compete with anyone in French rap, before the release of his new album scheduled for 2025. A project called “Longue Vie à Nous” (or “LVN”) and for which we do not yet know the release date, but on the other hand, we have already presented you with the first extract of the project, a few weeks ago. If everything else is at this level, we have no worries about Alonz': he will still be a hit.
