Seventy-eight routes, seven levels of difficulty, all gathered in a surface area of 500 m². Friday January 3, the Agen indoor sports complex inaugurates a new space dedicated to bouldering, open to all levels and all ages. And the public seems to be there already. Since announcing the facility's opening, the resort's Instagram account has gained over a hundred followers in less than twenty-four hours.
“We are going to seek out a slightly more family-oriented clientele,” explains Pierre Legros, manager of the complex, all smiles. The little ones will also be able to try the discipline, from 4 years old, thanks to walls specially designed for children and equipped with a slide to make the descent easier. The price is set at 15 euros, without time limit, with reductions applied for adolescents and children.
Indoor 360
“It’s a fashionable discipline, which is complementary to what we offer,” says the manager. This new activity complements the equipment already present on site, including padel, football and squash courts. “The goal is to create a place to live and for our customers to come and enjoy all day, a little climbing in the morning, and padel in the afternoon. This is a global offer. » Pierre Legros invested nearly two million euros, including around 300,000 for climbing, in order to transform Agen indoor, which will soon change its name to become Indoor 360. The result: new outdoor padel courts, a restaurant, a seminar room for professionals…
The complex should also eventually host a climbing school, which will offer courses and training courses. Departmental level competitions could thus be organized at Agen indoor according to the manager, who believes that this new space is likely to attract seasoned climbers as well as the curious. “Climbing can appeal to people who are not necessarily very sporty, but who want to try it,” concludes Pierre Legros.
