Faced with controversy, Elisabeth Borne denounces a “truncated sequence”. Criticized for having turned his back on two teachers who challenged him in Mayotte this Monday, December 30, on the lack of state aid, after the devastating passage of Cyclone Chido, the Minister of National Education tries to justify herself.
Accused of contempt, she assures on X that the extract in question, broadcast on BFMTV, “does not reflect (s)her exchanges with the two teachers”.
“Moreover, committed to dialogue, aware and concerned by the seriousness of the situation, I spoke at length yesterday with management staff and teaching unions on the situation in Mayotte and the challenges of the start of the school year,” writes the former Prime Minister.
