TELEVISION – An ode to the past on the Champs-Élysées. To celebrate the transition to the year 2025, France 2 organized a giant concert in front of the Arc de Triomphe this Tuesday, December 31. But rather than stars who will make their mark next year, the programming gave pride of place to hits from the 2000s, 1980s, even 1970s.
On the live program (or not): the Sun King troupe, Chimène Badi, Michel Fugain, Jenifer, Lio, the mixed collective, Marc Cerrone and even Gims. Artists who are sure values in the evening, but who do not really reflect what awaits us musically in the future. And viewers have noticed it, as you can see in these messages posted on X.
Traditional fireworks
In a slightly more modern register, it should be noted that Yanns was present to sing his title Clic clic pan pan pan. Amir also performed as did Eddy de Pretto, Kendji Girac, and Santa. Rugby player Antoine Dupont, among the stars of the 2024 Olympics, made a short video intervention (without singing).
The artists took turns on stage from 9 p.m. until ten minutes to midnight. A 3D mapping video was then broadcast to show the metamorphoses of Paris over the years, before the fireworks lit up the Paris sky. The evening was presented by Stéphane Bern, while Mohamed Bouhafsi and Magali Ripoli were in the middle of the crowd to set the mood.
