For the occasion, his partner published a photo of the couple on his social networks accompanied by a touching text, notably evoking his illness. The actor suffers from dementia, a neurodegenerative disease, a diagnosis which was revealed by his ex-wife Demi Moore in 2023.

Firstly, Emma Hemming Willis explains that for her, birthdays were “synonyms of enthusiasm” but are now events which “arouses melancholy”. “I give myself 30 minutes to let the ‘why him, why us’ take over, to feel the anger and the sorrow. Then I shake off that mindset and return to reality.” confides the model.
She then describes reality as “unconditional love”. “I feel lucky to know this love and it’s thanks to him,” she adds before concluding: “If I had to do it again, I would do it again and again without hesitation.”
