As a post on social networks clearly showed, the former star striker of the National League paid a heavy price during the match of his Kladno Knights, in the Czech elite circuit, on Monday. In a 4-2 win against Mountfield HK, he registered an assist in less than 15 minutes of play, but not without losing a significant part of his upper teeth.
Despite his unattractive appearance, Jagr was proud to document his war wounds on his Instagram and Facebook accounts, all with an evocative smile.
This season, he has totaled three goals and as many assists in 19 outings. In November, the City of Kladno terminated the Knights’ arena lease for failure to pay rent.
