Paris and the whole of Île-de-France (Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne and Val-d’Oise) are also placed on yellow alert for a risk of « strong winds » this Wednesday. According to Météo France, this windy episode could begin around 7 p.m. this January 1.
In the afternoon, some gusts could still reach 65 km/h, particularly in Yvelines, Val-d’Oise and Essonne. But these winds will strengthen in the evening. “ At the end of the evening, the rain will reach the Paris region with also a strengthening of the wind up to 70/80 km/h », warns Météo France. In the inner suburbs, winds of up to 70 km/h are expected.
During the night from Wednesday to Thursday, these gusts will remain intense over a large part of the Ile-de-France region. The return to less turbulent weather is expected during the day of Thursday January 2, 2025.
