On February 1, 2025, the regulated electricity price should decrease by around 14% for 30 million households. The Energy Regulatory Commission is also planning changes to the “off-peak” system mid-year.

After chaotic increases (4% on February 1, 2022, 15% on February 1, 2023, 10% on August 1, 2023, and 9% last February), the price of electricity will finally fall next year – a first since August 2018 – for a large majority of French people.
