Vegedream has already been targeted by malicious people. Aware that music will not be eternal, the artist decided to prepare for his future by investing in something else as he indicated at
Hustle. Gentsu invites you to find out more.
If it was revealed with La Synesia,
Vegedream saw his career take another turn thanks to the 2018 World Cup and his hit Take the cup home.
A consecration which was notably a poisoned gift for him.
That said,
Vegedream did not directly have his father's blessing, also in music. At the microphone of
Ouihustle, the artist explained:
My father was into music. Until I was in my twenties, he didn't want me to do music. He was into music, he produced. He tried to produce a band which also didn't work. A group of girls. Like my uncle was really into music and it really worked so he was telling me no. He told me music is women, it's ephemeral success and that's all it is. This is perversion. He said to me “what talent do you even have? “. He didn't know (…) I said to myself, I'm going to leave, I'm going to succeed and you're all going to leave with me. It was impossible for me to miss my life (…) My daron when he said that, he didn't know that I heard. It hurt me so much. So, I went on an adventure (…) I went back and forth and for a long time I no longer spoke with my father.
“An influx of money outside…”: Vegedream talks about its business far from music
It is not uncommon for artists to invest in different businesses outside of music in order to secure their future between catering, real estate, alcohol and even textiles.
Vegedream also thought of everything and explained his other projects during this interview:
I got into production a bit, it's super hard especially when you're an artist. It's very, very hard but besides, I opened a franchise of stores in Ivory Coast. Stores, supermarkets with local products. I'm on the second one. I bought apartments, I bought large houses that I transformed into seven or eight apartments. And I occasionally rent depending on the season in Bourges, Nice and Orléans. I'm in the process of opening something in Portugal because I'm happy there.
Vegedream then added:
Precisely to have an income outside of music. I know that music is ephemeral. In the sense that we don't all have a twenty-year career.
A family affair since Vegedream does all this with his sister as well as his father.
