The intervention of firefighters from the Toul and Nancy-Gentilly barracks, under the command of Lieutenant Christophe Jacob, required closing access to rue Maréchal-Lyautey.
The fire broke out in an apartment early this Sunday afternoon. The alert was given around 1:50 p.m.
The building includes three apartments, the one on the second floor was damaged. Firefighters had difficulty intervening due to the smoke and the high heat.
Two hoses were needed to contain the fire. The only occupant of the apartment, a man in his sixties, was treated by firefighters, without needing to be transported to hospital.
