The United Cup started this Friday with victories for Kazakhstan and China. For Saturday, four matches will be played in Sydney and Perth.
The French team will open the ball in the morning session in Sydney against Switzerland (from 10:30 a.m. local time, 12:30 a.m. in France) in Group D.
Chloé Paquet will be opposed to the returning Belinda Bencic, then it’s Ugo Humbert who will take over against Dominic Stricker.
The doubles will pit Jeanjean / Roger-Vasselin against Bencic / Stricker.
In the evening session in Sydney (from 5:30 p.m. local time, 7:30 a.m. in France), Australia and Argentina will face off in Group F.
The match program is as follows: Gadecki – Podoroska, De Minaur – Etcheverry and the double Perez / Ebden – Podoroska / Etcheverry.
In Perth, Group A will kick off the day (from 10 a.m. local time, 3 a.m. in France) with the matchup between Canada and Croatia.
Leylah Fernandez will face Donna Vekic, Félix Auger-Aliassime will play against Borna Coric and the doubles will pit Fernandez / Auger-Aliassime against the Vekic / Dodig pair.
Finally, Greece and Spain will close the day on Saturday in Perth in Group E (from 5 p.m. local time, 10 a.m. in France).
Spain, beaten by Kazakhstan this Friday, is already on the verge of elimination. Maria Sakkari will launch hostilities against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro then it will be the turn of Stefanos Tsitsipas to face Pablo Carreno Busta.
Sakkari and Tsitsipas will then return to the court to face the Cavalle-Reimers / Martos Gornes pair in the doubles.
