The San Jose Sharks will face the Vegas Golden Knights (10:30 p.m. ET; SCRIPPS, NBCSCA) without William Eklund and Jake Walman on Friday.
Eklund is currently injured in his upper body and Walman is injured in his lower body, Sharks head coach David Warsofsky said.
“They are each evaluated daily,” he added.
Eklund was injured in his team’s last game before the holiday break, when he was checked against the boards by Tyler Myers of the Vancouver Canucks. The Swedish striker remained in the match before withdrawing from the last two periods.
“I’m not very worried,” Warsofsky admitted. He is showing positive signs. He was given three days to recover. Let’s see what tomorrow will bring us in his case. »
Walman was injured last Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers. The Torontonian has collected 25 points this season, a high among Sharks defensemen.
“The timetable for his return is similar to that of Eklund,” concluded the instructor. We will evaluate it in the coming days. »
