Dakar, Dec 27 (APS) – The Prime Minister announced, Friday, that a military programming bill for 2035 will soon be proposed to deputies, with the aim of strengthening the capacities of the Defense and Security Forces (MSDS).
”A military programming bill for 2035 will be submitted to your august Assembly very soon,” declared Ousmane Sonko, addressing the deputies of the 15e legislature, on the occasion of its general policy declaration.
This law aims to ”resize the Defense and Security Forces in terms of organization, capacity and operational network of land, maritime and air spaces,” added the head of government.
He also announced that the government of Senegal is also planning priority actions for the FDS, which will focus in particular on improving their relations with the populations.
”This approach will include, among other things, the strengthening of citizenship and the promotion of the spirit of security and defense, the transformation of the perception and image of the defense and security forces, the creation of a platform for processing files, setting up a digital information platform, as well as reducing traffic accidents,” detailed the head of government.
