On the night of April 7 to 8, 2024, the town of Thiéblemont-Farémont, in Marne, between Saint-Dizier and Vitry-le-François, was the scene of a still unsolved double murder. It was the parents of one of the two victims who made the macabre discovery on Monday April 8. The night before, a young couple was coldly murdered in their home, a large house slightly isolated from the village located a quarter of an hour from Saint-Dizier. The two victims, killed by bullets, are Pauline Szczerbicki, 29 years old, and Hassine Habbani, 41 years old. There, the family discovered, still alive, the couple’s baby, Noelyan, then 7 months old. The first city is well known in the region, in Saint-Dizier in particular but especially in Villiers-en-Lieu where she grew up and where most of her family lives. Following this now unsolved double murder – the Reims research section is continuing its investigations – a white march organized in the streets of Villiers brought together a thousand people in tribute to Pauline. The young Villaraise, who was going to celebrate her 30th birthday a few days after the tragedy, was also three months pregnant.
