After only 6 months in Belgium, Ayrton Costa could well return to Argentina. Antwerp may already have its successor.
Ayrton Costa (25 years old) has quietly established himself as one of this season’s successful transfers to Bosuil. Arrived for 2.5 million euros from Independientes, Argentina, Costa starts at left back.
But for several weeks, the Argentinian has no longer played. His performances are perhaps to blame (Costa is booked far too often, with 7 cards in 15 games already, for no assist distributed), but it is also, according to Ekrem Konur, transfer specialist, because a departure looms.
Ayrton Costa should indeed… return to Argentina, heading to one of the most popular and prestigious clubs in Buenos Aires: Boca Juniors. Antwerp should find themselves there, Costa being estimated at 3 million euros, and having to sign for three years at Boca.
