On the one hand, thousands of little letters containing wishes and the hopes of as many children who have decided to write to Santa Claus by posting their letters in the red boxes around the cities and in post offices. On the other, the letter from an “out of target”, as he defines himself, a 76 year old grandfather, Emilio Locatiwith a single request: “A gift, not for me, but for a group of children who attend the Little Friends football school in a football club Cesano Maderno“. The desire? New hairdryers, “given that the ones we have in the shower-changing room area – writes Luca's grandfather – out of four, three have been broken for some time”. So Locati acts as spokesperson for the children's request: ” When we finished the shower and dried ourselves, we had to queue to dry our hair, as there was only one hairdryer. We ask Santa Claus to find us one sponsor to give us three working hairdryers, having seen that they cost less than 20 euros”. And Locati concludes: “Like any child, I hope that we can make this wish come true, just like a Santa Claus would”.

And if grandfather Emilio's letter was sent to our editorial staff, those from the children instead show imaginative addresses on the envelopes, from Via del Cielo to Via delle Stelle to Piazza delle Costellazioni, to Via Lattea, 25 up to Via dei bambini Buoni Arctic ice cap. In the little ones' letters – they explain from Italian Post Office – among the requests, the protagonists are always toys, constructions, dolls, board games but also video games, playing cards, books, musical instruments and soft toys. Many promise to be better and more deserving and also spare a thought for the most unfortunate and the difficult emergency experienced by their peers in war zones. Angelica promises to do her best to be better next year and asks for “new shoes and colored pencils”. Sofia says she was good, and asks for “a camera, but more importantly I would like Santa Claus to bring my mom a present”. Paola asks for “a water bottle with scented refills, some pens” and an apron for grandma with the writing Nonna sprint”. Sofia writes: “Dear Santa, I'm still Sofia. This year I wanted to ask you if you could send me one of your elves to see what it feels like to have an elf in the house. Thanks dad, I'm waiting for the elf.”
