Robert Langlais was extricated from the chimney with the help of Fall River police, firefighters and EMS.
UNUSUAL – Not whoever Santa Claus wants. In Massachusetts, Robert Langlais, a 33-year-old American, tried to escape the police by hiding inside a chimney. The fugitive finally had to count on the help of the police to get him out of there.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 10, when two men attempted to flee during the execution of a search warrant at the address of 127 Canal Street in Fall River near Boston.
“One of the men escaped capture by jumping from the roof onto a parked vehicle”explains the city police department in a video posted on Facebook which you can see below. “The other man, later identified as Robert Langlais (33), invoked the essence of the seasonal legend and attempted to hide inside a chimney”he explains with humor.

Blocked inside the chimney, the young man needed help from the police officers he was trying to flee to get out of the confined space. Law enforcement freed him with the help of the Fall River Fire Department and EMS.
“Due to his Santa-like antics, Langlais was transported to a local hospital as a precaution”also declare the police. Since then, Robert Langlais has been detained for possession of class A and B drugs as well as a “series of charges stemming from outstanding arrest warrants”.
Tanisha Ibay, a 33-year-old woman also present at the scene, was also arrested and charged with similar charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
