Bonderman helped build the Kraken’s home, Climate Pledge Arena. He also helped design the training logo.
“A proud University of Washington alumnus, he brought NHL hockey to the Pacific Northwest in 2018, gaining approval from the Board of Governors to establish an expansion team in Seattle […]. Adding David to the Office and the Seattle franchise to the NHL has made our league and our sport stronger, setting new standards in terms of environmental responsibility, diversity and inclusion,” Commissioner Gary Bettman said in a statement. .
The businessman was also a minority owner of the Boston Celtics in the NBA.
However, it is TPG which remains its most important project. The investment fund he created in 1993 with Jim and Bill Price has become an international benchmark thanks to its 28 offices and its management of nearly $240 billion in assets.
He has also served on more than 80 boards, including Continental, General Motors and MGM. He has also helped several foundations like the Wilderness Society and the World Wildlife Fund.
