Arthur, here in 2016, returns to these embarrassing archives of “Take it or leave it”.
TELEVISION – Malaise TV. While shocking videos from the show Take it or leave it presented by Arthur circulated at the beginning of December on social networks, the host who is celebrating his 30 years of career explained himself in The Parisian this Thursday, December 26 on his behavior, judging that “it was a different time”.
Back to the beginning of the month. Archives of the game show broadcast on TF1 in the mid-2000s have resurfaced on X, showing Arthur very close to certain candidates. The Twitter messages have since been deleted, but excerpts can be seen in a Twitch broadcast broadcast on December 17.

In these images, the host multiplies inappropriate remarks and gestures. A non-consensual kiss on the mouth, a look up the skirt, grunts full of innuendo in your ear… “It’s funny because when we see you from there, you seem very small and in fact uh… You are there, your body is there”says the host again as you can see from 4 minutes 30 in the video above.
“We had to do a daily one-man show”
A few seconds later, he mimes hitting the backside of a candidate who is visibly uncomfortable. “Finally we see your legs”he told him. Then when he starts breathing in her hair and being very tactile, she pushes him away. “I always liked women who resisted me a little, who spoke badly to me,” he replies. The overwhelming images follow one another for several minutes.
While a documentary on his 30-year career will be broadcast this Thursday evening on TF1, Arthur justified to the Parisian: “It was another era. I was quite close to the candidates. When they cried, men and women alike, I held them in my arms, like a family. Today, we could no longer animate in the same way. »
He also explains that“we had to do a little daily one-man show because the show lasted 40 minutes while the game mechanics only made up half of it”. However, as the historian Ludivine Bantigny at the origin of the Twitter thread which exposed this behavior pointed out, “several of his actions are legally qualified as sexual assault”.
