Officers and volunteers plan to spend Thursday on site, using snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles. “It will be essentially the same deployment as yesterday on the ground,” underlines Sergeant Éloïse Cossette, spokesperson for the SQ.
“There is a command post that is open on site, with managers and research technicians. Even today, we have volunteers from the Quebec Association of Search and Rescue Volunteers (AQBRS) who are present,” adds Carole Lebel, public relations officer at the Trois-Rivières Police Department (DPTR).
“At the Trois-Rivières police level, we are continuing our investigative efforts in parallel to try to find leads and locate him.”
“With the temperature and all that, I won’t hide from you that we fear for his safety.”

Remember that Yves Verville left his living environment in the Cap-de-la-Madeileine sector aboard his red 2017 Toyota RAV-4 vehicle last Saturday. His disappearance was reported three days later to the police authorities by the manager of the residence in which he was staying.
So far, the investigation has revealed that the individual had made purchases in Shawinigan, before his vehicle was located near Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc. Since then, the police have concentrated their searches in the area.
People who have information allowing them to find the sixty-year-old are asked to contact Detective Sergeant Geneviève St-Yves directly at (819) 691-2929, extension 3586, or by calling (819) 691-2929, option 6.
