The Garmin Venu 3 and vivoactive 5 receive a new stable update, version 12.10. This version arrives approximately two months after its predecessor, version 11.16, the latter of which provided bug fixes related to incident detection and crashes when users started an activity.

The changelog for version 12.10 first indicates that Garmin has improved the pool swimming rest screen and alert tones, but does not specify what changes have been made. There is also a new feature for the Venu 3 and vivoactive 5: Garmin Strength Coach. This tool has recently started to expand to other models, having first launched a few months ago for watches like the Fenix 8 (currently starting at $999.99 on Amazon). These are personalized strength training plans similar to the old Garmin Coach for runners. Users can enter their goals, targeted muscle groups, and available equipment to tailor the program to their needs.

Additionally, the stable firmware comes with updates for GCM Translations (version 2.23) and Course DB (version 1.04). In a post on the Garmin Forum, the company confirmed that the software has reached at least 50% of users; it is unclear when the rollout will be complete. You can download the version 12.10 update via Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile.
